On my last weekend in California, I discovered a major paradise.
I’ve heard a lot from friends in LA about the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel but I wanted to make my own experience and share it with my best friend Solène.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean from atop a seaside bluff, the resort invites you to experience Laguna Beach fully. It was a first for me and I loved the Dana Point atmosphere!
We shared a beautiful garden view room which was perfect for my puppy Greengo to run like crazy, just in front of our terrace. Yes, the Ritz Carlton is so welcoming with pets and that was really important to me.
On the first day, we walked down to Dana Point beach and we even swam in the Pacific, having the best time.
The highlight of our stay was, for sure, the sunset, spent at 180 Blu, Overlooking the Pacific Ocean from 150 feet above with live music. A moment to remember…
Later on, we had dinner at Raya, still facing the Ocean and we had the most yummy black cod! You should definitely try it on the menu.
We had this typical American cliché just before sleeping : s’mores by our room campfire while listening to the OC music! Felt straight back to summer camp in West Virginia and loved it.
On the next morning, I started with a yoga wake up, facing the Pacific and, just after breakfast at Raya, Solène & I experienced the best experience so far… Michele the Concierge, booked us a private surfing class with Girl in the Curl. We met Mary for a 2 Hours class and we absolutely LOVED it. The temperature was perfect, the instructor so helpful & talented that we both stood up really quick! I MUST try again very soon.
Few words to tell you that I really enjoyed my experience at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. Definitely one of the most beautiful Hotel in Cali. I miss it already…

During my get away to Palm Springs, I discovered a unique and wonderful place. It was my 3rd time in the Californian desert but my very first time at the stunning Korakia Pensione. Everything there is a little piece of dream.
Restored in 1989, Dar Marroc was renamed Korakia and crafted into a Mediterranean-style resort.
The Hotel, now housed in two lovingly restored historic villas, consisting of bungalows, guesthouses, gardens and pools. We stayed in the Marrakech Villa . A large, sunny, upper-level suite with extraordinary views of the mountains, pool and courtyard. The bed was amazing! I think I fell asleep at 10pm which is extraordinary for me. But before my dreams, we shared a glass of wine at the fire place… And there, you feel soooo far away. Just in heaven.
The next day, after a lovely complimentary breakfast, we spent some time at a (almost) private pool before heading back to LA (only 2 hours drive!)
The New York Times has called the Korakia « One of the sexiest hotels in America » I call it a forever paradise where I’ll for sure come back asap, as a mini moon maybe?

During our trip to NYC, we stayed at my friend Charlotte’s in BridgeHampton for a long week end & Oh my God I loved it !
It was my very first time in The Hamptons and I just love everything about it : Beautiful houses, huge beaches, little shops & restaurants and 45 degres. We celebrated Charlotte’s birthday, went wakeboarding, listened to a US band, got tanned. A perfect program to end our beautiful trip to the East Coast.
Very first post from NYC where Jeff & I spent a whole week. I haven’t been to The Big Apple for 3 years and coming back was so good & inspiring.
We chose the Sofitel NY for a 5 nights trip. The luxury 5 stars hotel
Première fois à Venice Beach.
J’ai littéralement adoré ce spot. Plage immense, ambiance cool & relax. Surfers et skateboarders. Baywatch et vagues je-perds-mon-bikini… tous les clichés de l’Amérique que j’aime. Merci à Kevin & Roma pour cette super journée
First time in Venice Beach.
I litterally loved that spot. Huge beaches, cool and relax people. Surfers and skateboarders, Baywatch and steal-bikini waves… all the clichés of the US love.
Thanks Kevin & Roma for this perfect day

– d’avoir vu 17564 l’intégrale de The OC
I haven’t been in the US for six Months. You think i’m a weirdo, but I have US blood (thanks daddy). Reason why, it seems obvious and human to:
– Translate my blog in english
– Eat Peanut Butter w/ Oreos or Chocolate Chip pancakes (you chose)
– Put some make-up on 4th of July
– Deeply love Bruno Mars or Beyonce (even better with Barack)
– Have been watching 17564 times The OC – Have been to camp and ….
Go to NYC once a year.
It’s now done, as I just spent 4 AMAZING OMG days at the Sofitel New York.
Beautiful Hotel, perfectly situated between 5th Ave and Times Square.Too short but great. NY, you know I love you right?
